You have a fundamentally flawed picture of the world. Billionaires privatizing technologies primarily for profit, externalizing all costs has impact on all of us. By your logic, we shouldn’t worry about what the Koch brothers do, what Jeff Bezos does or what the Exxon CEO does, or a private prison corporation CEO does. These are people who wield the ultimate power and actually affect, and often basically write policy. See my democracy article for that, or the education one, or the media one — these ideologies affect everything. Social participation, celebrating workers’ achievements, democratic engagement and so on are values to strive for, and blind worship gets in the way of basic critical thinking, as you have clearly demonstrated.
